For months, the members of The Wally Do’s intramural ice hockey team at the University of Colorado (Boulder) have been dreaming of this day. “I can’t believe it’s finally time, I can’t wait to lace ‘em up” exclaimed Packman Westfeldt, Co-captain of the team.
This evening, at 8:45 PM MST, The Wally Do’s square off against the team, Fragglestickcar. The game will take place at the University Recreation Center, and the team has stressed the importance of having fans come to show their support. Willis Lindabury, an outstanding goal scorer and veteran of the team remarked, “it’s awesome having our friends out there to support us, it brings an intensity to our game that otherwise would be absent. It’s not like we just want to win for ourselves, but we want to win it for our friends too. We’re like one big Wally Do’s family.”
Fans are asked to arrive to the Rec Center at 8:35 PM. Also, loud mouths, air horns, cow bells, gigantic signs, beach balls, bikinis, boom boxes to play Lady Gaga, bottles of champagne and pocket flasks are all encouraged.
