I’ll Be Gone ‘Til November

Actually, I’ll only be gone until the 8th of August… but I’ll be making appearances and signing autographs in Cape Cod, Nantucket (again), Saratoga Springs, NY and Seneca Falls, NY.

Activities on the roster include ultra beach relaxation, boating, fishing, bunch fine dining, betting on the horses at the Saratoga track, jet-ski-action, cliff jumping galore, mega bike rides, scooter rides, occasional bar partying, ice cream will be there, and so, so, so much more.

Upon my return… I’ll have a full report.

Nantucket, Fun Bucket

Summer after summer after summer, I have friends who venture down to the island of Nantucket to work, chill, live-it-up, etc… And time after time, I’ve been beckoned to come down for a taste of the fun. It’s relatively close to home (2 hr. drive to Hyannis + 1 hr. ferry ride), and they’ve always indicated that it is a total blast, yet for years I declined the invitations.

So, this past weekend, I finally went… And all I can say is, yesssssss.

My brotha’ from anotha’ motha’ (he is in fact born of the same motha’, I just like the saying) is living down there this summer, and naturally, I had to go.

The beaches are the greatest, the waves are huge, people are constantly getting barreled, there is fishing to be done, mega fun bike rides are a must, a lovely harbor town, the golf courses are fancy, there is mega nice food to be had, and a candy store, chicks live there, and the bar scene is pretty radical.

So if you desire to go… be sure to bring an extra sweater to wrap around your neck, (or a lacrosse jersey, it’s very bro-ish down there) and maybe tap into your savings account for some extra mula, cause it gets to be expensive. But let me tell you, so f’in worth it.

Thanks to all of you down there for being so kind to us, and showing us the best time ever. FYI, we’re coming back soon for more.

Muscles’ mansion gives 1010 a good run for it’s money.

Charlie and Luigi were there. Lu got buried.

Andrew was my wingman.

Nobadeer Beach, a.k.a Brobadeer Beach

This is not Nantucket, but it’s Muscles and me and thereby it’s awesome.

Maine, Sweet Sweetness

Cruised up to Maine this weekend to log some time with the Smeallie fam, and to celebrate Molly Ockett Day in Bethel.

I began in Kennebunkport, and all I have to say about KPB is that… 1. It could be a fantastic weekend getaway spot for you and your family 2. If you go you might consider the Captain Jefferds Inn B&B (mega nice, stay in the Florida room) and 3. Make sure to eat at Nunan’s (home of, quite frankly, the best damn lobster I’ve ever had in my life).

I also ventured up to the City of Dreams a.k.a Bethel to hang with my favorite Mainers. The occasion: Molly Ockett Day… and after hearing 4 or 5 various accounts of who this Molly Ockett character is… it seems she is an Indian healer with magical powers who made some predictions about the future, murdered somebody somewhere, slayed some dragons, and thus saved the town of Bethel? Anyhow… parade, fireworks, party… the whole shebang went down in Bethel on Saturday, and it was well worth the drive.

Nothing better than watching my man in his sleep.

Apparently pulling down his pants helped Jimmy to determine if dinner was ready.

Quick Summer Update

Been a hot minute since I last posted anything… so here’s an ultra quick rundown of what I’ve been doing lately… Odd jobs for work, including: moving, painting, landscaping, assistant wedding photographer, swing-set destruction/removal, watering plants, babysitting, etc…

And then, I’ve been boating often, beaching often, eating lots of Nick’s roast beef, going to Calas, going to The Farm, playing a ton of NHL 2010, playing darts, road biking (thanks @K_kruse), men’s league hockey at Pingree, sorting through my old hockey cards (tens of thousands), getting chicks’ phone numbers, and that pretty much covers it… I’m going to Maine tomorrow for the weekend, so maybe I’ll even have another post by early next week… wouldn’t that be nice, @shay_will? Hope your summer is equally swell, and I miss my friends who are not in Hood-by-the-Sea, xoxo.

Happy Birthday, America.

Fourth of July weekend in Hood-by-the-Sea was utterly spectacular. Temperatures exceeded 90° day after day, the beach was poppin’, chicks were wearing bikinis and there were fireworks all over the place. And now I’m ultra tired and want to go to bed, and don’t feel like writing, so here is a photo essay…

The annual parade was exceptional this year… Many megahotdudes were in attendance.

Megahotdudes Take-Two

As per usual, the firetrucks were a highlight of the parade.

Evan took photos.

This was my primary means of transportation this weekend.

Jon Glass was here. Love that.

This is the Reed’s, “Plum Island Raft.” Only megahot dudes and chicks are allowed on it… So Jon jumped off.

Jon is an air-catching pro.

Evan jumped too.

No bevies allowed on the Island except for Twisted Tea.

America!

Knee boarding, and wake surfing happened.

This is Rabbit, and they call her, Bunny

Speedman pimpin’ at the helm.

Jon drove too.

More dogs.

Dudes pimpin’.

More dudes pimpin’.

Devin was there.

Devin likes the upper deck.

No chicks wanted to join Colin in the hammock.

AC was there.

Great sunset.

More pimpin’.

And that’s all she wrote.
