Dog Party!

It’s been scorchin’ around here lately; temperatures have approached 95°F the past few days (gasp). And on these sticky-icky days, nobody fares worse than our furry four-legged friends.

I strolled out to the car yesterday morning when Keeper, who was kickin’ it in the driveway, looked up at me in despair… He cocked his head to the side, popped his tongue out of his mouth slightly to the side, and rolled his eyes at me as if to say, “this really blows, dude.” He mustered up some energy, between heavy breaths, and asked me, “Hank, can you please arrange a play-date for me and some other dogs at the beach? I’m desperate.”

So! I phoned The Chasman, and we agreed to take the pooches on-down to Graves Beach, where they frolicked, and swam, and explored, and marked territory, etc… And it was such a blast, in fact, that Colin, Cordelia and I rounded up a team of dogs again today and headed over to Lobster Cove for some more dog party-action. Looks as if this is going to become a regular activity around here…

Lobster Cove

Keeper says, “thanks for organizing this, Henrik!”

Finn and Till are, in fact, not related to one another.

They learned to swim just this week, and they’re already pros.

Bella is a retriever extraordinare.

It’s a dog party!

Striper City

The new hottest way to fish, (new to me, at least) is to catch a mackerel, and to simply let is swim around with a hook in it’s mouth… and then a big fat striper comes along and gobbles him up, and boom, big fish for dinner! Works every time!

Nice catch, Hank!

Yet another!

Ads, Ads, Ads!

After completing the a2b program in May (eventual blog story to come) I became totally hooked-on-phonics-advertising. As such, I’ve been keeping tabs on the communications world, and have seen some pretty interesting ad campaigns as of late. Below are a couple that I felt were worth sharing… they certainly do things differently over across the Big Blue, and I say, power to ‘em.

Tiger Dogs and Panda Dogs!

If you haven’t already been made aware of the latest Chinese trend… well, now you know…

It’s pandamonium!

Perhaps a good way to eradicate your local deer population?

If the panda bear goes extinct now, nobody will have to worry because we have these guys to take their place.

Hot Dog Hank

Went to a Sox game the other night with my good pal, Alexandra. She bet me $20 that I couldn’t eat 7 Fenway Franks, and I happily obliged. Naturally, I ate the 7 wieners without even blinking, and after securing the $20 cash prize… I felt like a champion. It was a total win-win. I got to eat some awesome Franks, and I made a little pocket money on the side (Technically it was a win-lose, because I still suffered a net financial loss on the evening. At $5/piece, I was $15 poorer than when I entered the stadium). But come on, 7 tasty wieners for $15?! That’s a big upset stomach win in my book.

Summer Cell Photos, First Edition

Prudential Center, Boston

See the city by land and by sea in a World War II amphibious landing vehicle! “Duck Tours” are a must when visiting Boston.

Seared yellowfin tuna steak for lunch, yes please. Atlantic Fish Co. is a great spot for lunch or dinner.

Lobster Roll for lunch, yes please. Kingfish Hall in Quincy Market, another great dining experience.

Hickory Shad does not taste very good. The next one we catch is going straight back into the Big Blue.

Boating at sundown is glorious.

The dock is mad nice.

Classic Maine-restaurant.

Keeper is king.

Mom loves the Longhorn.

Went to see Dave Matthews Band. Of course, it was magical.

Had an awesome visit from Nina and Andreas, but now they’re gone. Nina likes the fisheye.

East Coast Summer

Back home in Mass for the summer. Probably a whole hecka-load of fishing and beach related cell phone-imagery headed your way… Oh, and maybe a ten million dollar giveaway contest too, so be sure to keep checking back.
